HISTORICAL USES:
Lavender, considered as the herb of love, was used as a perfume, to make clothes and linen have a pleasant aroma, as an insect repellant and was the main ingredient for incense in ancient Egypt. It was also used as a mild sedative and to treat minor nerve-related issues like restlessness.
WELLNESS USES:
Lavender is commonly used in soaps and candles due to its calming properties. Lavender is also known to assist in reducing anxiety and stress, restore dry, damaged skin and help reduce the appearance of scars as well as to heal minor burns and bug bites through its antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties.
EMOTIONAL USES:
The Linalool in Lavender makes it a calming oil. Therefore it will leave you feeling collected and certain. Lavender is wonderful at promoting restful sleep, which can be especially helpful for those who battle with sleeplessness or insomnia.
How Lavender Oil Can Support:
MIND/EMOTIONS
Stress and Anxiety
During times of stress or anxiety, apply 1-2 drops of Lavender to the temples, pulse points on wrist, or diffuse.
Irritability
If you are feeling irritable or have an irritable child, apply 1-2 drops of lavender to pulse points to assist with feelings of calm. Dilute for sensitive skin or young skin.
Headache and Migraine Support
Apply 1-2 drops directly to the temples and back of neck. For extra support, blend with 1 drop of Peppermint. You can also add a few drops of Lavender to a Wheatie bag and place over your head or eyes and allow yourself a few minutes to lie down and relax.
Insomnia - please elaborate what kind of sleep problems?
If you find that it is hard to fall asleep, hard to stay asleep or wake up too early and can not get back to sleep then apply 2 drops of Lavender to bottoms of feet and temples, or diffuse near bedside. Lavender has a calmative property that will encourage your brain to rest.

If your baby cries inconsolably from time to time, apply 1-2 drops of Lavender and Wild Orange onto your hands and let baby breathe from your hands to soothe crying.

Sleepy Babe Massage Blend
2 drops Lavender, 1 drop Roman Chamomile, 5ml Fractionated coconut Oil, 25ML Argan Oil. Put the essential oils in a glass dropper bottle and fill remaining space with the carrier oils. Shake well. Allergies and Hay Fever
Add a drop of Lavender under the tongue, allow it to stay there for 30 seconds, then swallow with water. Can also be taken in a veggie cap, along with 1 drop of Lemon and 1 drop Peppermint.

Cuts, Blisters and Scrapes
